Which Orlando outlets are worth it?

An outlet afternoon fits easily into an Orlando trip, and from a vacation home in Kissimmee, ChampionsGate or Davenport every center below is less than half an hour away. Addresses, store counts and hours come from each center’s official site, checked on October 6, 2026.

What are the outlet malls in Orlando?

There are three: two Simon Premium Outlets and the independent Lake Buena Vista Factory Stores. All three are in Orange County.

At both Premium Outlets, the official pages list prices only for valet and the special spaces. Regular parking has no price listed.

Vineland. Simon calls it the only luxury outlet in the Orlando market, with more than 20 luxury brands, including Gucci, Prada, Burberry and Bottega Veneta, plus names like Polo Ralph Lauren, Under Armour and Tommy Hilfiger. Advertised everyday savings run from 25% to 65%.

International. Simon calls it Florida’s largest outlet center, at 773,586 square feet. The site lists stores such as Nike Factory Store, H&M, Disney’s Character Warehouse and Kate Spade, plus about 20 dining options. It is 5 minutes from Universal, per the center.

Lake Buena Vista Factory Stores. An open-air center 2 miles from Walt Disney World, per its site, with Nike, Levi’s, Carter’s, Gap, Tommy Hilfiger and a Disney Outlet. It closes on Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day.

Is there a Tanger Outlet in Orlando?

No. As of October 2026, Tanger’s official list of centers had no Orlando location. In Florida, it listed only Daytona Beach and Palm Beach. If an old blog post or map still shows “Tanger Orlando,” ignore it.

Which Orlando outlet is closest to my vacation rental?

From Kissimmee, Lake Buena Vista Factory Stores is closest. From ChampionsGate and Davenport, it and Vineland are nearly tied at about 20 minutes. International and the two malls sit farther north, near Universal.

Traffic changes the math, especially on I-4 in the late afternoon. The I-RIDE Trolley on International Drive stops at Vineland (stop 42) and International (stop 1) every 15 minutes, but it does not reach the resorts in Kissimmee and Davenport. Which Orlando Premium Outlet is better, Vineland or International?

It depends on your list. Vineland for luxury labels, International for variety and mid-price brands. Lake Buena Vista Factory Stores is the quick stop with free parking at the door.

• Vineland is close to Disney and SeaWorld. It is the pick for designer bags and shoes.
• International pairs well with a Universal day, 5 minutes away. It is the largest in Florida and has about 20 places to eat.
• Lake Buena Vista Factory Stores is open air with free parking out front. If you stay in Kissimmee, it works for a late afternoon after pool time.

Check the store directory on the official site before you go. Brands come and go, and a store you remember from a past trip may be gone.

Do Orlando outlets have coupons?

Yes, though not the way many people remember. The old Premium Outlets VIP Shopper Club is now Simon+, per the official page. Signing up is free and gives access to cash back, member rewards and exclusive offers, subject to the program terms.

Vineland’s site still mentions a VIP coupon book in two cases: Shop & Stay packages at partner hotels, and groups. Groups of 10 or more can book a group tour with special discounts and pick up maps and coupon books at Simon Guest Services in the food court. Otherwise, each store’s promotions show up under the deals tab on the site.

At Lake Buena Vista Factory Stores, the deals page lists each store’s offers for the month, and you can print them before you go.

Is sales tax included in the price?

No. Shelf prices exclude tax. The Florida Department of Revenue says sales tax is added to the price and collected at checkout. The state rate is 6%, and Orange County adds 0.5%. All three outlets and both malls in this article are in Orange County, per the U.S. Census geocoder, so you pay 6.5%. An $80 pair of sneakers rings up at $85.20.

Families shopping for school get a break. Florida holds a back-to-school sales tax holiday every year from July 20 to August 20. During that window, clothing, footwear and accessories priced at $100 or less per item are tax free, and personal computers up to $1,500 are too. Phones and game consoles do not count as computers. The holiday does not apply to sales inside theme parks, entertainment complexes, hotels or airports.

Florida Mall or Mall at Millenia: are the malls worth it?

They are if you want full-price mall stores and new collections rather than outlet stock. Both are enclosed and air conditioned, which helps on a rainy day.

The Florida Mall bills itself as Central Florida’s largest shopping destination. Millenia has a multilingual concierge and free same-day delivery of purchases from participating stores. How do you get your haul home?

Plan for it before the first store. If you drove down from Georgia or the Carolinas, the trunk is your limit. If you flew, check your airline’s baggage allowance, since each carrier sets its own weight and bag rules.

• Buy the extra suitcase at the outlet. Vineland’s store list includes Samsonite.
• Rent a cart. Vineland rents shopping carts and strollers, and International rents strollers.
• Unbox at the house. Shoe boxes eat space. A vacation home gives you room to open everything, sort it by bag and toss the packaging.
• Keep your receipts. International visitors may need them at customs back home.

In practice: if you stay in Kissimmee, hit Lake Buena Vista Factory Stores or Vineland on a slow afternoon without giving up a park day. Save International for your Universal day: leave the park, shop, and drive home once traffic eases.
