Is Disney Springs or CityWalk free to get in?
Yes. Neither one charges admission, and Disney Springs does not charge for parking either.
Disney Springs. Disney states there is no admission fee to enter Disney Springs and that standard self parking there is complimentary. For comparison, standard parking at the Disney theme parks costs $35 a day. In the evening, the AdventHealth Waterside Stage, an open air stage on the lake, has live music with shows at 6:45, 7:45 and 9:05 p.m., according to Disney. The lineup can change.
Universal CityWalk. CityWalk, the dining and nightlife district at the entrance to the Universal parks, does not require a ticket. Parking is the catch: standard parking costs $35, tax included. After 6 p.m. it is free, except on Halloween Horror Nights event nights and on December 31. Epic Universe is not part of that rule. The full breakdown is in our guide to Disney and Universal parking.
ICON Park. On International Drive, ICON Park covers 20 acres with no gated entrance and has a free parking garage. The 400 ft Orlando Eye and the other attractions need tickets, but walking around and sitting on the lawn cost nothing.
What can you do for free in Kissimmee?
Kissimmee has three strong free options: Old Town, the park on Lake Tohopekaliga and Celebration.
Old Town. Old Town is an open air strip of shops, restaurants and rides. Admission is free, according to Visit Orlando and Experience Kissimmee. The car shows are free for spectators:
- Wednesday: bike night, 6 to 10 p.m.
- Friday: muscle cars, starting at 3 p.m., with the cruise at 8:30 p.m.
- Saturday: classic cars, starting at 1 p.m., with the cruise at 8:30 p.m.
Old Town is open Sunday through Thursday from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m., and Friday and Saturday from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Parking behind the buildings is free year round. The large lot next door costs $11 per car plus fees. Rides cost extra: in October 2026, the simplest package, a Ferris wheel ride with an A&W combo meal, was $15.
Kissimmee Lakefront Park. The city park in downtown Kissimmee is free to enter and open daily from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. It has two playgrounds, a splash pad, a fishing pier, 475 feet of boardwalks and the Monument of States, built with materials sent from all 50 states.
Celebration. The planned town next to Disney has a downtown with shops around a lake, made for walking without spending. More ideas nearby are in what to do in Kissimmee.
Which Orlando parks and markets are free?
Lake Eola Park in downtown Orlando and the weekend farmers markets in Orlando and Winter Park are free to enter.
Lake Eola Park. Open daily from 6 a.m. to midnight, the park has a 0.9 mile path around the lake, the Linton E. Allen Fountain, the Walt Disney Amphitheater and playgrounds for ages 2 to 5 and 5 to 12. The swan shaped paddle boats cost $15 per 30 minutes for up to 5 people, Tuesday through Sunday from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., card only.
Orlando Farmers Market. Every Sunday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Lake Eola, with local growers, food, live music and a wine and beer garden. Admission is free.
Winter Park Farmers Market. Every Saturday from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Central Park West Meadow, at New York Avenue and Morse Boulevard. Admission is free, according to Visit Orlando. On festival weekends it moves to Seven Oaks Park.
Morse Museum. On Park Avenue near the market, the Morse Museum holds a major collection of Louis Comfort Tiffany’s work. During the spring 2027 season, admission is free on Friday evenings, with live music from 5 to 8 p.m., on March 5, 12, 19 and 26 and April 2, 9, 16, 23 and 30. At other times the museum charges admission. If you are coming for spring break, it is worth fitting in a Friday.
What can you do in Orlando at night for free?
The easiest free evenings are the shows at Disney Springs, CityWalk after 6 p.m. and the Old Town car cruise at 8:30 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays. During the holidays, Now Snowing in Celebration runs from November 28 to December 31, 2026, with “snow” at 6, 7, 8 and 9 p.m. Admission and parking are free. If you are coming for Thanksgiving weekend or winter break, you will catch it. More ideas for after dinner are in what to do in Orlando at night.

Are there free beaches or nature parks near Orlando?
Not really. The closest beaches are on the east coast, and you will almost always pay for parking or entry.
In Cocoa Beach, city parking costs $6 an hour (1 hour minimum) or $25 for the day, paid through the Passport Parking app, enforced daily from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. At Canaveral National Seashore, entry is $25 per vehicle and covers 7 consecutive days, or $15 per person on foot or by bike (under 16 free). The park takes cards only. Fee free days apply to US citizens and residents; the ones left in 2026 are October 27 and November 11, Veterans Day.
Florida state parks, including the springs, charge a per vehicle admission fee that varies by park. They are low cost, not free. For more ideas away from the theme parks, see what to do in Orlando besides the theme parks.
What can kids do for free in Orlando?
With kids, the best free options are the playgrounds and splash pad at Kissimmee Lakefront Park, the playgrounds at Lake Eola and the cars at Old Town. Then there is the fun you already paid for when you booked: the pool at the house.
At a vacation home, the private pool is part of the stay. An afternoon in the pool between two park days costs nothing extra. Pool heat, when available, is usually an add on, and we explain how it works in how much pool heat costs in Orlando.
Many vacation home communities also have a clubhouse with a resort pool, water slides, a lazy river, a gym or courts. In some, guest access is included; in others there is a fee. Check before you book. The communities where Orlando Best Place homes are located are on our resorts page.
In practice: plan one day off from the parks using only free stops. Pool morning at the house, late afternoon at Kissimmee Lakefront Park so the kids can hit the splash pad, then a Friday or Saturday evening at Old Town for the 8:30 p.m. car cruise. Get there early to grab the free spaces behind the buildings.
