How to visit Epic Universe from a vacation home?

Epic Universe changed the math for a Universal trip. Universal Orlando now has three theme parks, and the newest one sits outside the original complex with its own entrance and its own parking. If you are staying in a vacation home and driving in every morning, that affects when you leave, which ticket makes sense and even which part of town you book.

What is Epic Universe and what are its worlds?

Epic Universe is Universal Orlando’s third theme park, and it officially opened on May 22, 2025. Universal calls it the first major theme park to open in Orlando in 25 years. It has more than 50 attractions, shows, restaurants and shops spread across five worlds.

Where is Epic Universe located?

Epic Universe is on Universal Boulevard, about 2.5 miles south of Universal Studios Florida as the crow flies, near the Orange County Convention Center on International Drive. It is not inside the complex that holds Universal Studios, Islands of Adventure and CityWalk, and that has real consequences.

• Parking address: 1001 Epic Boulevard, Orlando, FL 32819. This is the address Universal publishes for drivers.
• Uber and Lyft area: 1201 Epic Boulevard, with signs pointing to the pickup and drop-off spot.
• Separate parking: Universal’s main garage serves Universal Studios, Islands of Adventure, Volcano Bay and CityWalk. Epic Universe has its own lot.

By road, Universal Studios to Epic Universe is about 6 miles, so you cannot walk between them. Universal describes its free shuttle buses to the parks as a perk for guests of its own hotels. How far is Epic Universe from Kissimmee, Davenport and International Drive?

Without traffic, it is about 25 minutes from Kissimmee, about 35 from Davenport and a little over 10 from International Drive. The table shows the driving route to the Epic Universe guest parking lot, calculated with OSRM on OpenStreetMap data.

Those are free-flowing times. In real life, I-4 at rush hour and the line of cars at park opening can add a lot, and you still have the walk from your parking spot to the gate. How much is parking at Epic Universe?

Standard parking is $35 a day, tax included, whether you prepay online or pay at the toll plaza. Prime parking, closer to the entrance, runs $50 to $60.

One detail catches a lot of people. At the main Universal complex, standard parking is free after 6 p.m. on many nights. Universal states that this does not apply at Epic Universe, so arriving in the evening still costs the full rate.

If a big group splits into two cars, that is two parking fees. Compare that with a rideshare to the 1201 Epic Boulevard drop-off.

Do Universal tickets include Epic Universe?

It depends on the ticket. Epic Universe has its own 1-day ticket, and some multi-day tickets include it. Prices change with the date you pick.

In 2025, multi-day tickets came with only one day at Epic Universe. According to Universal, the tickets launched for 2026 were the first to allow more than one Epic Universe day. The All Parks Ticket appears in Universal’s release aimed at Latin American travelers, so check the official site to see what is on sale for your dates before you buy.

Is there Express at Epic Universe?

Yes, with limits. Universal Express at Epic Universe lets you use the Express line once per participating attraction on the day of your visit, and it is sold separately from admission.

Here is what Universal’s official page says as of October 2026:

• Universal Express Unlimited is not sold or accepted at Epic Universe.
• There is no After 4PM Express option at Epic Universe.
• Most attractions offer Express, except Dragon Racer’s Rally.
• The free Express Unlimited that comes with some Universal hotels is not valid at Epic Universe.

That last point matters if you are weighing a hotel against a vacation home. At this park, the hotel line perk does not count. When Express is worth paying for is covered in is Universal Express worth it.

What are Epic Universe’s hours?

Hours change by date. In early October 2026, Universal’s official calendar showed Epic Universe open from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Check the hours on Universal’s website or app the night before, not only when you buy tickets, because they can change. If you are leaving from Davenport or ChampionsGate, add a buffer for traffic, parking and the walk to the gate on top of the table times. The busiest weeks of the year, including at Epic Universe, are in the least crowded times at the Orlando parks.

Which vacation home areas are closest to Epic Universe?

The International Drive and Universal Boulevard side is closest. Inventory there leans toward condos rather than pool homes. Kissimmee near the Osceola Parkway is about 25 minutes away without traffic and has many more homes.

Among Orlando Best Place communities, Vista Cay Resort and The Point Orlando Resort are on Universal Boulevard, and Paradiso Grande is a vacation home community on International Drive. Homes in Davenport and ChampionsGate are still great for big groups, but your Epic Universe day gets longer.

In practice: pick a weekday outside U.S. school breaks and holiday weekends for Epic Universe, prepay parking online and leave the house with the table time plus at least 30 extra minutes.
